TITLE: A Resolution of the City of North Port, Florida, Authorizing the City Commission to Participate in a Joint Meeting with the Charlotte County Commission to Receive, Discuss, and Act Upon Matters of Mutual Interest; Incorporating Recitals; Providing for Severability; and Providing an Effective Date.

Approve Resolution 2022-R-35.
Background Information
Following Commission discussion on April 26, 2022, City Manager Fletcher spoke with Charlotte County Administrator Hector Flores regarding scheduling a joint meeting between the City Commission and the Charlotte County Commission.
Joint meetings are authorized, however they must be approved by Resolution and noticed in both municipalities. The joint meeting is tentatively scheduled for July 14, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Charlotte County Administrative Building, 185000 Murdock Circle, Room 119, Port Charlotte, Florida.
This resolution has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct to form.
