Recommended Action
Continue Ordinance No. 2020-13 amending the Code of the City of North Port, Florida, Section 4-151 regarding membership of the Community Economic Development Advisory Board to second reading.

Background Information
At the February 6, 2020 Special Commission meeting, Commission directed staff to amend City Code Section 4-151 regarding the membership of the Community Economic Development Advisory Board as recommended by the Community Economic Development Advisory Board in a memo addressed to City Manager Lear on November 20, 2019.
Added for Second Reading:
The City Commission heard this item at a regular meeting on March 3, 2020. A motion was made to continue Ordinance No. 2020-13 for second reading on March 24, 2020, changing 2.C. to be "higher education or School Board non-elected representative." The following changes have been made:
• Line 64, to change the school board member to an unelected representative of the school board. The language used is consistent with line 70 regarding the county representative.
• Line 98, to correct the date of first reading.
