Recommended Action

Approve Resolution No. 2021-R-51 as presented.

Background Information

On February 9, 2021, the City Commission provided direction for staff to prepare necessary policy revisions to allow for hybrid meetings due to extraordinary circumstances on a rotational/volunteer attendance basis for City Commissioners, Advisory Board Members, Committee Members, and Task Force Members to attend public meetings virtually. A hybrid meeting may occur only when a member quorum is physically present and must remain present throughout the meeting.  The attached City Commission Policy - Hybrid Meetings Policy No. 2021-10 provides for possible extraordinary circumstances and process for request to attend via communications media technology.

Resolution No. 2021-R-51 and City Commission Policy - Hybrid Meetings Policy No. 2021-10 has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
