Discussion and possible action regarding the potential purchase of property for the Eldron Avenue Sidewalk Project connection to Sumter Boulevard sidewalk.
Background Information
During the March 28, 2017 Road and Drainage District Governing Body Meeting, Commission gave approval to try to purchase one to three lots for the connection of the Eldron Avenue Sidewalk Project to the Sumter Boulevard sidewalk. At that time, there were no properties available for sale. It has been brought Mayor McDowell’s attention that Parcel ID #09-67053316 is now for sale. If purchased by the City, the Eldron Avenue sidewalk could be extended through the parcel to connect to the Sumter Boulevard sidewalk, as previously discussed by Commission and requested at the neighborhood meeting.
