Discussion and possible direction regarding the use of single use plastics at City facilities and functions.
Background Information
At the May 6, 2019 meeting of the North Port Environmental Advisory Board, the elimination/reduction of the use of single use plastics at City facilities and functions was discuss. The Board voted to send a memorandum to the City Commission with information on the topic.
Vice-Mayor McDowell and Commissioner Luke have both requested that the memorandum be placed on the agenda for discussion by the Commission.
