Proclaim November 10, 2019 as American Legion Auxiliary Day
Background Information
The establishment of the Auxiliary to the American Legion was provided for, at the first National Convention of the American Legion, in 1919. The American Legion Auxiliary’s founding purposes are as consistent, as 100 years ago; the rehabilitation of our Veterans, serving our community, providing for our children and youth, helping with disaster relief, and peace and security in our country. We thank the American Legion Auxiliary for its most important service to our nation that has been achieved in its effort for National security. On American Legion Auxiliary Day, we shall pause and remember with profound gratitude all the women who have helped achieve alms and purposes of the American Legion Auxiliary, for they know what war-time service truly means.
