Recommended Action

 

Provide direction regarding proposed changes to the City fee structure, Appendix A to the Code of the City of North Port, Florida, including but not limited to, Building fees, Fire Rescue fees, Police fees, Parks and Recreation fees, Facility Rental fees, Solid Waste fees, Utility fees, Road and Drainage fees.

 

Background Information

 

In connection with the City's budget development process for Fiscal Year 2023-2024, staff has reviewed the fees charged for City provided services. Proposed changes to various departmental fees are provided in the attached Summary of the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Proposed Fee Changes.

 

Upon direction from the City Commission, revenue projections will be prepared, and proposed fees will be incorporated into the City-Wide Fee Ordinance.  Said Ordinance will be brought before the Commission for first reading in July 2023 and adoption at second reading in September 2023.
