TITLE:                                          Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Maker’s Market Ordinance and Fee

Recommended Action

Provide direction to staff regarding Maker’s Market Ordinance and Fee.

Background Information

At the October 19, 2020 Commission meeting, Vice Mayor Luke brought up the Maker’s Market permit application and associated fee.  Since the State recently preempted local governments from requiring a permit for mobile food vendors, the thought is that it is unfair to require a license fee for the Maker’s Market permit.  It was requested that this item be placed on a future agenda for discussion and possible action.

Strategic Plan

Support a vibrant and diversified economy to create local jobs and attract private investments.

Financial Impact

If removed, there would not be a reduction in $100 per Maker’s Market permit application processed.

Procurement

N/A
