Recommended Action

Approve Amendment No. 5 to Agreement No. 2005-05 between the City of North Port and TGW Engineering, Inc. to provide construction engineering services for the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Nature Trail in the amount of $47,671, for a total contract amount of $318,157, and authorize a contingency amount of up to $4,000.

Background Information

The following provides a chronological order of events regarding the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Nature Trail Project:

> July 25, 2005: The City Commission approved Agreement No. 2005-05 with TGW Engineering, Inc. to develop the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Master Plan.

> December 10, 2007: During the City Commission Regular Meeting, the Commission adopted the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Master Plan, as presented, with funding to be appropriated at a future time.

> July 27, 2009: During the City Commission Regular Meeting, the Commission approved Amendment No. 1 to Agreement No. 2005-05 with TGW Engineering, Inc. to design the Myakkahatchee Creek Greenway Nature Trail.
