TITLE: Approve Extension to Agreement No. 2015-40 between the City of North Port and TPH Holdings LLC, d/b/a The Parts House, for vehicle and equipment parts management and supply for the second and final one (1) year term, per the unit prices, terms and conditions of the Agreement.


Recommended Action

Approve Extension of Agreement No. 2015-40 between the City of North Port and TPH Holdings LLC, d/b/a The Parts House, for vehicle and equipment parts management and supply for the second and final one (1) year term, per the unit prices, terms and conditions of the Agreement.

Background Information

The Fleet Management Division of the Department of Public Works outsources vehicle and equipment parts management and supply. Agreement No. 2015-40, for vehicle and equipment parts management with TPH Acquisitions LLLP was approved at the December 14, 2015, Regular Commission Meeting for the initial term, through and including January 31, 2019.

On January 3, 2017, The Parts House issued a letter addressing their name change from TPH Acquisition, LLLP to TPH Holdings, LLC.

The first renewal was approved at the December 11, 2018, Regular Commission Meeting through and including January 31, 2020.

By mutual agreement, this Agreement may be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year periods at the same terms and conditions of the Agreement, and within budgetary limitations. The initial monthly fee per the Agreement was $16,500. Per the agreement, the base monthly fee is tied to the Florida Consumer Price Index and is capped at 2% annually not to exceed $18,000 per month during the three (3) year Agreement term or the two (2) optional one (1) year renewal periods.

The Agreement's second and final renewal period becomes effective February 1, 2020, with Commission approval and will remain in effect through January 31, 2021.
