TITLE: Approve the Award of Request for Bid 2022-01 - Water and Wastewater Treatment Chemicals to Allied Universal Corporation, Amaya Solutions, Inc. d/b/a American Water Chemicals, Brenntag Mid-South, Inc, Chemtrade Chemicals U.S. LLC., Donau Carbon U.S. LLC., Hawkins, Inc. and Polydyne, Inc by Line-Item Pricing on an "As-needed" Basis for a Term Through and Including December 31, 2024, with Options to Renew for Two (2) Additional One (1) Year Terms; and Authorize the City Manager to Approve Future Renewals.

Approve the award of Request for Bid 2022-01 - Water and Wastewater Treatment Chemicals to Allied Universal Corporation, Amaya Solutions, Inc. d/b/a American Water Chemicals, Brenntag Mid-South, Inc, Chemtrade Chemicals U.S. LLC., Donau Carbon U.S. LLC., Hawkins, Inc. and Polydyne, Inc by line-item pricing on an "as-needed" basis for a term through and including December 31, 2024, with options to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms; and authorize the City Manager to approve future renewals.
Background Information
The Department of Utilities purchases various chemicals each year for the City of North Port's water and wastewater treatment facilities. These chemicals are critical in the Department of Utilities' ability to produce potable water at the City's water treatment plant as well as process wastewater at the City's reclamation facilities.
In order to secure competitive pricing on these critical supplies, Request for Bid No. 2022-01 - Water and Wastewater Treatment Chemicals was advertised on September 22, 2021. Twelve Bids were received and opened on October 26, 2021. Staff reviewed the submittals and recommends the award of bids as follows:
