Recommended Action

Option 1: Approve Resolution No. 2026-R-11 as presented.

City Commission Options

Option 1: Approve Resolution No. 2026-R-11 as presented for the sale of real property located on 2400 Commerce Parkway, North Port, Florida, 34289.
* Pros: The sale generates cash proceeds that can fund priority projects, capital improvements, or reduce budget gaps for the general fund.
* Cons: Once sold, the City forfeits the option to use the land for future public buildings, parking, or strategic city planning.

Option 2: Deny Resolution No. 2026-R-11 as presented.
* Pros: Real property values can appreciate over time. The City may be able to secure a higher price in the future.
* Cons: As long as the property remains City-owned, it does not generate ad valorem tax revenue; a sale could return the parcel to the tax roll upon private development.
