Staff recommends that the City Commission approve Ordinance No. 2025-13 for second reading.
General Information
On February 13, 2025, the Planning and Zoning Division of the City of North Port received an application for a Development Agreement pertaining to the infrastructure improvements necessitated by the Imagine School project.
The Imagine School development will feature an educational facility catering to students from kindergarten through high school. This facility will include two gymnasiums, two cafeterias, a full-sized athletic field, and a playground specifically designed for younger students. Additionally, it will support essential infrastructure, including water and wastewater systems and a stormwater management system.
The Development Agreement outlines the developer's responsibilities associated with constructing and maintaining central water and wastewater facilities. It also encompasses the construction and maintenance of one roadway and one pedestrian bridge, along with the maintenance of Retention Ditch R-588.
The site development and infrastructure plan for the Imagine School (PSDP-25-00376) has been submitted and is under review by the staff.
