Recommended Action
Approve Sergio Stephens as a Veteran of the American Armed Services on the Veterans Park Advisory Committee to Serve a Three-Year Term from May 23, 2023, to May 23, 2026.
Background Information
Currently, there is one (1) vacancy for a Veteran from any branch of the United States Armed Services, and one (1) vacancy for an Alternate Member on the Committee. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk has received one (1) application from Sergio Stephens. Mr. Stephens is a combat Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He does not currently serve on any other Board or Committee and has been a resident of North Port for over six (6) months. Florida Statutes 112.3143(6) regarding conflict disclosures is not applicable for this applicant. His application has been submitted for review and consideration.
