TITLE: Disposition of Surplus Assets in an appropriate fashion pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property, (d), (1), (3), North Port, Florida, Administrative Code.


Recommended Action

Approve the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method dated September 2019 pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1), (3), North Port, Florida, Administrative Code.

Background Information

The Fleet Manager and Fleet Asset Technician have evaluated the City's equipment and vehicle fleet and have prepared the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method dated September 2019. The Fire Rescue District and Police Department have reviewed the list of vehicles recommended for disposal and determined they do not need the vehicles for training purposes.

In addition, the Fleet Management Division of the Department of Public Works and the Fire Rescue District have identified one (1) vehicle for donation to the Suncoast Technical College:

CID 71531 Chevrolet 2009 MedTech Ambulance - Suncoast Technical College.

Financial Impact

Any revenue generated by the auction of items will be distributed back to the originating department. In addition, no revenue will be generated for the vehicle donated.

Procurement

These assets will be disposed of in accordance with Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1), (3), North Port, Florida, Administrative Code.
