Discussion and possible action regarding designating “No Wake” Zones in City Canals
Background Information
Pursuant to the North Port City Code Section 82-24 Authorization to establish restrictions, the City Commission has the authority to establish maximum vessel speeds and establish idle speed - no wake zones within designated restricted areas. Commissioner White has been contacted by residents living along the City canals regarding the speeding of motorized boats in the canals, particularly in the area of the boat ramp at Dallas White Park.
Commissioner White has requested the matter be brought to Commission for discussion.
