Recommended Action

 

Discussion and possible action regarding Interim City Manager hiring process.

 

Background Information

 

The following provides a chronological order of events on the Interim City Manager hiring process:

 

Ø                     October 27, 2020:   During the Commission Regular Meeting, the Commission appointed Julie Bellia as Acting City Manager effective November 13, 2020, until the time when the Commission appoints an Interim City Manager and allow her to work with City Manager Lear.

 

Ø                     November 5, 2020:  During the Commission Special Meeting, the Commission approved delaying  the hiring process for an Interim City Manager until the new Commission is seated, with the Agenda Item for this topic occurring on November 24, 2020.

 

Accordingly, now that the new Commission has been seated, staff seeks Commission direction on the Interim City Manager hiring process.
