TITLE:                     A Resolution of the City of North Port, Florida, Accepting Ownership of a Donated Parcel of Real Property Located on Flagler Street and Described as Lot 5, Block 613, 14th Addition to Port Charlotte Subdivision, Parcel Identification Number 096806130; Providing for Filing of Documents, Providing for Conflicts, Providing for Severability; and Providing an Effective Date.

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve Resolution 2020-R-41, a Resolution of the City of North Port, Florida pertaining to the donation of one parcel of real property to the City of North Port and directing the acceptance of said parcel of real estate, providing for filing of documents, providing for conflicts, providing for severability and providing an effective date.

 

Background Information

 

Jacob D. Hochstetler and Cynthia A. Hochstetler have offered to donate their vacant lot to the City of North Port.

 

This property is located along the Myakkahatchee Creek Corridor and is a Tier 2 vacant property.

 

Staff has reviewed the offer and approved the request for donation. There are no liens on this property as noted on the tax record attached from the Sarasota County Tax Collector.

Financial Impact

 

Removes property from tax rolls; 2020 property taxes = $29.04 and 2020 assessments= $307.50 for a total of $336.54.
