Background Information
This was requested by Jason Bartolone, Communications Manager/Public Information Officer.
We proudly recognize the outstanding achievements of the City's Communications Division and the North Port Police Department, both of which earned the Certificate of Excellence from the Florida Municipal Communicators Association for the fourth straight year. The Certificate recognizes local governments that maintain the highest professional standards and follow best practices in the field.
Three City employees - Public Information Manager Madison Ingalls, Police Public Information Officer, Brittany Kammerer and Communications Manager/Public Information Officer, Jason Bartolone - also earned the Certified Local Government Communicator designation, the first-ever statewide professional accreditation for municipal communicators.
