Recommended Action
Approve renewal of RFB No. 2021-46 EMS Supplies, Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, and Delivery with Bound Tree Medical LLC, Henry Schein, Inc., and Quadmed, Inc. at the attached unit prices for an estimated annual FY 2022-23 amount of $253,850.00 and authorize the City Manager to approve future renewal.
Background Information
Fire Rescue maintains an in-house managed inventory system of basic and advanced life support medical supplies, diagnostic, and immobilization equipment to be used exclusively by North Port Fire Rescue for advanced life support and Emergency Medical Services operations. The department routinely orders medical supplies from vendors established through a competitive bidding process.
On September 14, 2021, City Commission approved the award of RFB 2021-46. RFB No. 2021-46 secured firm pricing for the purchase of Emergency Medical supplies and equipment on an "as needed basis." The initial term of the award was from October 1, 2021, through and including September 30, 2022, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms, by mutual consent, at the same terms and conditions. Quadmed, Inc. held their pricing for the renewal. Bound Tree Medical LLC and Henry Schein, Inc. requested price increases. Fire Rescue has reviewed both requests and is agreeable to the price increases.
