TITLE: Approve the Reappointment of Mark Harms as the North Port Resident Appointed by the City Commission on the Municipal Police Officers' Pension Board of Trustees to Serve a Two-Year Term from March 30, 2023, to March 30, 2025.
Recommended Action
Approve Mark Harms to Serve a Third Term as the North Port Resident Appointed by the City Commission on the Municipal Police Officers' Pension Board of Trustees to Serve a Two-Year term from March 30, 2023, to March 30, 2025.
Background Information
Currently, there is one (1) vacancy for a North Port Resident Member Appointed by the City Commission on the Municipal Police Officers' Pension Board of Trustees. The vacancy has been announced as required. The City Clerk has received one application from Mark Harms and there have been no other applications submitted. Mr. Harms’ term ended on April 14, 2022, and he is currently seeking to serve a third term as the North Port Resident Member Appointed by the City Commission and his attendance was excellent. Mr. Harms has been a resident of North Port for over six (6) months and does not currently serve on any other Board or Committee. He has no memoranda of conflict to disclose per Florida Statutes 112.3143(6). His application has been submitted for review and consideration.
