TITLE: Approve the Utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 091422 With W.W. Grainger, Inc. for Industrial Supplies, Building Materials, Equipment, Tools and Accessories, on an As-Needed Basis in the Amount Not to Exceed $120,000 Annually Through the Term Ending November 8, 2027, and Authorizing the City Manager to Approve any Modifications, Renewals, or Terminations in Concurrence With Sourcewell.
Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 091422 with W.W. Grainger, Inc. for industrial supplies, building materials, equipment, tools and accessories, on an as-needed basis in the amount not to exceed $120,000 annually through the term ending November 8, 2027, and authorizing the City Manager to approve any modifications, renewals, or terminations in concurrence with Sourcewell.
City Commission Options
Option 1: Approve the utilization of Sourcewell Contract No. 091422 with W.W. Grainger, Inc. for industrial supplies, building materials, equipment, tools and accessories, on an as-needed basis in the amount not to exceed $120,000 annually through the term ending November 8, 2027, and authorizing the City Manager to approve any modifications, renewals, or terminations in concurrence with Sourcewell.
Pros: Approving the use of the Contract allows the City to take advantage of a Contract that was already competitively solicited, the City of North Port saves time and resources while still taking advantage of competitive pricing.
Cons: Approving the use of the Contract can save time, but it may come at the cost of customization, pricing certainty, and direct control over the Agreement.
