TITLE: Approve the Appointment of Casey Mcgowan as a Regular Member of the Environmental Advisory Board, to Serve a Term From September 12, 2023, to September 12, 2026, and Approve the Reappointment of Lola Robinson for a Second Term as a Student Member of the Environmental Advisory Board, to Serve a Term From September 12, 2023, to September 12, 2024.
Recommended Action
Approve the appointment of Casey Mcgowan as a Regular Member of the Environmental Advisory Board, to serve a term from September 12, 2023, to September 12, 2026, and approve the reappointment of Lola Robinson for a second term as a Student Member of the Environmental Advisory Board, to serve a term from September 12, 2023, to September 12, 2024.
Background Information
Currently, there are two vacancies for Regular Members and one vacancy for Student Members for the Environmental Advisory Board. The vacancies have been announced as required. The City Clerk has received two applications from Casey Mcgowan and Lola Robinson. There have been no other eligible applications submitted. Mr. Mcgowan and Ms. Robinson have been residents of North Port for over twelve months and do not currently serve on any other Board or Committee. Ms. Robinson’s active term on the Environmental Advisory Board is currently set to end on September 13, 2023. Florida Statutes 112.3143(6) regarding conflict disclosures is not applicable for both applicants. Their applications have been submitted for review and consideration.
