TITLE: Discussion and Possible Action Regarding Approving the Appointments of Robin J. San Vicente, Daniel Kowalczyk, or Jacqueline Torres, as Regular Members to Serve on the Charter Review Advisory Board From May 5, 2026, Through May 5, 2029.
Recommended Action
Option 1: Approve the appointment of (insert applicant) and (insert applicant) to serve as Regular Members and (insert applicant) to serve as an Alternate Member.
City Commission Options
Option 1: Approve the appointment of (insert applicant) and (insert applicant) to serve as Regular Members and (insert applicant) to serve as an Alternate Member.
Option 2: Deny the appointment of (insert applicant) to serve in the category of Member.
Background Information
Currently, there are four vacancies on the Charter Review Advisory for two Regular Members and two Alternates. The vacancies were announced as required. The City Clerk received one application from Robin J. San Vicente on March 4, 2026, one application from Daniel Kowalczyk on March 6, 2026, and one application from Jacqueline Torres on April 14, 2026, for appointment to the Board. Robin J. San Vicente, Daniel Kowalczyk, and Jacqueline Torres have been residents of North Port for over 6 months. Robin J. San Vicente currently serves on the Environmental Advisory Board. Daniel Kowalczyk and Jacqueline Torres do not currently serve on any Boards. The applications for Robin J. San Vicente, Daniel Kowalczyk, and Jacqueline Torres have been submitted for review and consideration.
There are no conflicts to note under Florida Statutes 112.3143.
