Background Information
During the City Commission Regular Meeting held on April 13, 2021, the Commission provided direction to create a Resolution relating to Historical Artifacts, that are non-governmental documents and appoint the City Clerk’s office as the custodian for anything submitted for the Items in the Historical Archive intake.
The City Commission Policy - Items in the Historical Archive Policy No. 2022-01 helps to document the municipal government’s history and provide directives addressing the scope of collection, collection procedure, and maintenance for items in the City’s Historical Archive.
Resolution No. 2022-R-41 and City Commission Policy - Items in the Historical Archive Policy No. 2022-01 have been reviewed by the City Attorney and are legally correct as to form.
