TITLE: Approve the Appointment of Commissioner Stokes to Sit on the Federal Action Strike Team (FAST) Committee.
Recommended Action
To appoint Commissioner Stokes to sit on the Federal Action Strike Team (FAST) Committee.
Background Information
The following provides a chronological order of events regarding the FAST Committee:
Ø June 27, 2023: The City Commission approved the appointment of Commissioner McDowell to the FAST Committee, dependent on further review of the Committee’s requirements. Commissioner McDowell has declined to serve on the Committee.
Ø July 11, 2023: An email was sent to all Commissioners regarding the vacancy on the FAST Committee. Commission Stokes expressed that he would like to be appointed to the FAST Committee.
