Recommended Action

Approve the Fifth Amendment to the Master Services and Purchasing Agreement with Axon Enterprise, Inc.

Background Information

On March 21, 2019, the City entered into an agreement with Axon Enterprises, Inc. for Police Department Body Cameras, associated software licenses, and data storage for investigative personnel. The original agreement included three (3) Basic Evidence.com software licenses and thirty (30) units of Evidence.com storage. There have been multiple amendments since the start of this agreement that increase body cameras, licenses, and storage. This fifth amendment will add drone equipment, including hardware and software.

This drone software is compatible with the Axon body camera system and will allow for drone footage to be uploaded to evidence.com along with the body camera footage. These drones also meet federal requirements, including using drones manufactured in the USA.

The City Attorney's office has approved this amendment as to for form and correctness.
