TITLE: Approve the Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreement Between Sarasota County, Florida and the City of North Port, Florida, for Greenwood Avenue Sidewalk Construction.
Recommended Action
Approve the Community Development Block Grant Subrecipient Agreement between Sarasota County, Florida and the City of North Port, Florida, for Greenwood Avenue Sidewalk Construction in the amount of $305,000.
Background Information
The Subrecipient Agreement will provide the City of North Port with up to $305,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding, to be utilized to construct sidewalks along Greenwood Avenue.
Grant funds will be used to widen the existing 8-foot-wide sidewalk to a 12-foot-wide shared-use path on the south side of Greenwood Avenue, between the driveway entrance to Dallas White Park and Sumter Boulevard.
The Subrecipient Agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.

This is a reimbursement grant. Monthly requests for salary reimbursements will be submitted as outlined in the grant award, not to exceed $305,000 per the Subrecipient Agreement.
