Recommended Action
Approve the Reappointment of Scott Duff as the Fifth Trustee to the Firefighters' Pension Board of Trustees to serve a Ninth Term by the North Port City Commission as a Ministerial Duty, From April 12, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
Background Information
During the March 13, 2026 Firefighters’ Pension Board of Trustees Meeting, Scott Duff was elected unanimously by the other four Trustees and they hereby, submit his name to the North Port City Commission to be reappointed, as a ministerial duty, to the Board of Trustees as the Fifth Trustee in accordance with the Code of the City of North Port, Florida, Division 6, Section 2-307. Mr. Duff is not currently serving on any other Board or Committee, his attendance has been excellent, and there have been no prior voting conflict disclosures on file with the City by said officer in accordance with Florida Statute 12.3143(6). His application has been provided for review and consideration.
