General Information

This item provides the Environmental Advisory Board with an opportunity to evaluate the ecological feasibility of a property located adjacent to Myakkahatchee Creek, north of Tamiami Trail (PID #0997034655). The property’s natural resource potential characteristics include habitat connectivity, floodplain protection, and long-term conservation potential. The discussion will allow the Board to consider how potential acquisition and preservation through the Sarasota County Land Acquisition and Management Program may relate to the City’s goals for ecological resilience and contribute to environmental value in the area.
