Recommended Action

 

Approve the Third Amendment to the Lease Agreement between the City of North Port and North Port Senior Center for space at the Community Education Center.

 

Background Information

 

The North Port Senior Center, Inc. provides programs and activities to seniors, Monday through Friday at the Community Education Center.

 

The lease amount of $200 per month is unchanged from the previous Lease Agreement. The First Amendment to the Lease Agreement expired on September 30, 2023. A Second Amendment was made extending the terms of the previous Lease Agreement by one year, expiring on September 30, 2024. A Third Amendment has been made extending the term of the agreement by one additional year, expiring on September 30, 2025. Once a City-wide standardized Lease Policy takes effect, the Lease Agreement will need to come back to Commission for approval under the new terms.

 

The Third Amendment to the Lease Agreement between the City of North Port and North Port Senior Center for space at the Community Education Center has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
