TITLE: Family Service Center Tenant Lease Agreement with Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast, Inc. in the amount of $7,826
Recommended Action
Approve the Tenant Lease Agreement with Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast, Inc., for a term of one year, effective October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 to provide 559 square feet of unfurnished office space (Suite #2) in the Family Service Center at a cost of $14/sq. ft. for an annual lease of $7,826, or 12 monthly payments of $652.17.
Background Information
The Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the Suncoast Inc. provides homeless prevention services to families with children as well as counselling services.
The lease amount of $14/sq. ft. is unchanged from the current lease agreement. A provision has been incorporated in the terms of the lease to allow tenants to automatically renew after the initial term. It also provides the commission with the ability to increase rents after proper notice.
The 2016-2017 Tenant Lease Agreement has been reviewed and revised by the City Attorney’s Office.
