TITLE: Appointment of Howard Henriksen as the fifth Trustee chosen by a majority vote of the other four trustees to serve an additional two-year term on the North Port Police Officer's Pension Board.
Recommended Action
That the Commission, in accordance with the Pension Legislation, as a ministerial duty appoint Howard Henriksen. Mr. Henriksen was chosen by a majority vote of the other four Trustees. as the fifth Trustee for an additional two-year term.
Background Information
At the March 9, 2015 North Port Police Pension Board of Trustees meeting, Howard Henriksen was elected by a majority vote of the other four trustees to serve another two-year term. Per the Pension Legislation, Mr. Henriksen's name is being submitted to the North Port City Commission where they shall, as a ministerial duty, appoint such person to the board as the fifth trustee.
