Recommended Action

 

Approve the Amended Family Service Center Tenant Lease Agreement with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, Inc., for a term of one-year, effective November 13, 2019, to provide 120 square feet of furnished office space (B112) in the Family Service Center at a cost of $9.50/sq. ft. for an annual lease of $1,140, or 12 monthly payments of $95.00.

 

Background Information

 

At the September 24, 2019 Commission Meeting, Commission directed staff to revise the Family Service Center leases on their expiration dates, to reflect the updated square footage amount. On September 24, 2019, the square footage amount was reduced to $9.50 from $14.00 per square foot.

 

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast has been providing services at the Family Service Center for eleven years. Their program helps children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impact. Children receive mentoring services through our community and school-based mentoring programs.

 

This tenant lease agreement has been reviewed by the City Attorney’s office.
