Recommended Action
Approve disposition of surplus fleet assets in an appropriate fashion pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
Background Information
The Fleet Management Manager and Fleet Acquisitions Specialist have evaluated the City's vehicle and equipment inventory and prepared the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal dated December 2022. The Fire Rescue District and Police Department have reviewed the list of vehicles recommended for disposal and determined they have no need for the assets for training purposes. Staff has reached out to all City Departments to evaluate if these assets could be utilized to meet the needs of any other area and have not identified any additional need.

Any revenue generated by the auction of items will be distributed back to the originating fund.

These assets will be disposed of in accordance with Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
