Background Information

Congressman Greg Steube’s Office began accepting Federal Community Project Funding requests for federal earmarks (appropriations) for the Fiscal Year 2024 budget on March 1, 2023.

City Management staff met and selected the following two projects for submission:

Ø                     Sumter/I-75 Interchange Improvements: $2 million

Ø                     New Police Headquarters land/design/construction: $5 million
