Approve the (KTI) System Purchase, Support and Software License Agreement and Contract Amendment No. 1.
Background Information
In 2016, in conjunction with Fleet Management, we purchased an electronic key security system, enabling keys for vehicles and equipment to be available 24/7 through a system that requires an electronic sign-in. The system ensures only the key (s) designated to be used are available for that individual. This system also provides reporting and 24/7 monitoring, with alerts to key managerial personnel, and accountability of the assets by the user.
KTI will provide software support for all problems or questions with the KTI software licensed to the City for the existing equipment. The City shall receive all generally released modifications/enhancements and applicable documentation during the Term of this Agreement.
KTI will maintain the equipment for perform Remedial Maintenance Services during the term of this Agreement as necessary.
The Agreement has been revised through the addition of the Contract Amendment No. 1. The Amendment permits the City to terminate the Agreement with or without cause after providing the vendor with thirty (30) days' notice. The vendor's annual fee is nonrefundable, and a prorated refund will not be provided for any portion of the term remaining following termination of the Agreement.
These documents are legally correct as to form.
The term of this agreement shall be one year from the date of signature.

The cost of the agreement is $1,998, which will come from budgeted funds in the Police Department budget within the General Fund.
