TITLE: Commission Orientation Handbook
Recommended Action
Commission review Commission Orientation Handbook that will be used for incoming Commissioners as a guide and reference manual.
Background Information
On March 8, 2017, the City Commission directed staff to update and bring back to the Commission the orientation manual with changes. The handbook has been prepared to assist new Commissioners by providing an overview of roles, responsibilities, laws, and general information to help navigate the new Commissioners through the basic operations of city government.
The handbook has been updated with items discussed at the March 8, 2017 meeting, as well as new organizational charts to reflect adopted FY19 positions and updates to policies and procedures.
The Commission Handbook is for your review and comments. A hard copy of the book will be provided to the Commission once it’s been approved by the Commission.
