Recommended Action

 

Approve Agreements to Re-designate Housing Opportunities for Persons with Aids (HOPWA) Grantee funds and HOPWA Cares Act funds to the State of Florida, Department of Health.

 

Background Information

 

Due to the growth in the Metropolitan Area Statistics, the City of North Port was awarded Housing Opportunities for Persons with Aids (HOPWA) Grantee funds and HOPWA Cares Act funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). City Manager's Office has given direction to re-designate the HOPWA Grantee and HOPWA Cares Act awarded funds to the State of Florida, Department of Health to continue grant management activities and administrative oversight.

 

The agreements have been reviewed by Legal for form and correctness.
