Background Information

 

On May 5, 2026, the City Commission reviewed and acted upon a recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. The Commission directed the City Manager to explore event sponsorship opportunities and/or a sponsorship program.

 

Following the Commission Meeting, Parks and Recreation staff contacted the City Clerk to advise that during the same meeting, Commission approved Resolution No. 2026-R-10, amending and restating the Citywide Sponsorship Policy for City events, activities, programs, and designated public spaces. Due to the approval of the Resolution No. 2026-R-10, the action given under agenda item no. 26-0611 was already completed and not necessary.
