Option 1: Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Clearview AI SaaS – SL (Tool + Cloud Database Access) - Enterprise 6 Subscription Renewal Agreement for a two-year term with Clearview AI in the total amount of $39,900.00.

Option 1: Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Clearview AI SaaS – SL (Tool + Cloud Database Access) - Enterprise 6 Subscription Renewal Agreement for a two-year term with Clearview AI in the total amount of $39,900.00.
Pros: Ensures uninterrupted access to Clearview AI's facial recognition investigative platform which supports real time emergency operations as well as criminal investigations by developing suspect identification through advanced investigative technology.
Cons: Requires immediate budget expenditure and commits the City to ongoing vendor-supported software maintenance costs.
Option 2: Deny the approval and authorization of the City Manager to execute the Clearview AI SaaS – SL (Tool + Cloud Database Access) - Enterprise 6 subscription renewal agreement for a two-year term with Clearview AI in the total amount of $39,900.00.
Pros: Avoids immediate expenditure of funds.
Cons: Results in the loss of access to Clearview AI's proprietary facial recognition platform and investigative capabilities. In which, there is no equivalent product that currently provides the same combination of publicly available internet imagery, proprietary facial recognition technology, and integrated investigative tools.
