Presentation by Chris Johnson from Suncoast Partnership regarding Community Outreach.

 

Background Information

 

Commissioner Jill Luke has requested a presentation regarding a need for a Case Manager as a liaison for our Homeless Outreach Unit.  There seems to be a ‘gap’ in being able to conduct the most effective level of service by our Homeless Outreach Unit.  There appears to be a need for a ‘Case Manager’ to complete the program.  Chris Johnson, at Suncoast Partnership, has been working on making this possible.  There have been a couple of potential scenarios that could offer assistance to cover this ‘gap’.  An open discussion needs to occur to see if it is something that the City/Commission wants to address.
