Approve the Lead Contracting Agency Agreement between St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and the City of North Port.

Background Information

On January 10, 2023, the City of North Port approved a software license and services agreement with Iris Tech, Inc. for SaaS Services IRIS software. (“SaaS Services” is an acronym for the Applications, Software, and related software-as-a-service, hosting, maintenance and/or support services provided by IRIS for remote access and use by Subscriber). Under the Iris Tech, Inc. agreement, the City of North Port is required to have an agency lead to ensure compliance with the FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems Security Policy. The Lead Contracting Agreement meets this requirement. Without this Agreement, Investigations won’t be permitted to use the IRIS software, which streamlines intelligence requests, communication, and dissemination processes.

The Lead Contracting Agency Agreement between St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and the City of North Port has been reviewed by the City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
