TITLE:                         Approve the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Vehicle Lease, Vehicle Use Agreement - Non-FBI Task Force Officer, at no Cost to the City of North Port.

 

 

Recommended Action

 

Approve the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Vehicle Lease, Vehicle Use Agreement - Non-FBI Task Force Officer, at no cost to the City of North Port.

 

Background Information

 

The North Port Police Department currently has an FBI Agreement, approved on May 9, 2023, which assigns a Task Force Officer (Operator) to the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force. As part of this Agreement, the FBI may provide a vehicle to the operator for performing duties under the Task Force Program. With a new operator taking over, this updated Agreement is required for the incoming operator to assume responsibility and utilize the vehicle for task force duties.

 

 

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) National Vehicle Lease, Vehicle Use Agreement - Non-FBI Task Force Officer has been reviewed by the Interim City Attorney and is legally correct as to form.
