Recommended Action

Approve Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 2020-14 with Spectrum Underground Inc., in the amount of $27,773.00 for the Bobcat Trail Force Main Replacement Project, for a total contract amount of $329, 557.00.

Background Information

Due to the location of the damage, Utilities is unable to repair the sidewalk by traditional means.

Amendment No.1 to Contract 2020-14 includes the removal and replacement of 3,200 square feet of damaged sidewalk adjacent to Lexi Lane. Because there is limited access to the location due to an adjacent drainage ditch, concrete cannot be poured directly from a concrete truck and must instead be pumped in. Spectrum Underground, Inc. has the equipment necessary to perform this work and is already mobilized in the area to replace the force main. This additional work will add two weeks to completion time.
