TITLE: Approve the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal Dated February 2020 Pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.



Recommended Action

Approve the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal dated February 2020 pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.

Background Information

The Fleet Manager and Fleet Asset Technician have evaluated the City's equipment and vehicle fleet and prepared the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal dated February 2020. The Fire Rescue District and Police Department have reviewed the list of vehicles recommended for disposal and determined they do not need the vehicles for training purposes.

In addition, the Fleet Management Division of the Department of Public Works has identified one (1) vehicle to be donated to the North Port High School for Project Graduation:

Financial Impact

Any revenue generated by the auction of items will be distributed back to the originating fund.

Procurement

These assets will be disposed of in accordance with Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
