TITLE: Approve the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal Dated May 2022 Pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.


Recommended Action

Approve the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal Dated May 2022 Pursuant to Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.

Background Information

The Fleet Management Manager and the Fleet Acquisition Specialist have evaluated the City's Vehicle and Equipment inventory and prepared the Asset Disposition and Recommended Method of Disposal dated May 2022. The Fire Rescue District and Police Department have reviewed the list of vehicles recommended for disposal and determined they have no need for the assets for training purposes. The Fleet Division had reached out to City-wide Departments to evaluate if these assets could be utilized to meet the needs of any other area and have not identified any additional need.

In addition, the Fleet Management Division of the Department of Public Works has identified the following vehicle to be donated to the North Port High School for Project Graduation:

Financial Impact

Any revenue generated by the auction of items will be distributed back to the originating fund.

Procurement

These assets will be disposed of in accordance with Chapter 2 Administration, Article VIII Procurement, Section 2-419, Disposition of City Assets and Property (d), (1) of the Code of the City of North Port, Florida.
