Recommended Action
Commission approve the revised Law Enforcement Special Detail Application and Agreement.
Background Information
The North Port Police Department is the City’s law enforcement agency with a mission to protect the lives and constitutional rights of the public by maintaining and promoting community, order, and respect for the law. The North Port Police Department provides a supplementary service to special events within the city by assigning off-duty law enforcement officers through the use of “Special Detail” assignments. Several revisions have been made to the both forms, adding verbiage to include fees stating, “Additional software service fees may apply.” Also, the fees have changed since the last approval of this agreement to Officer $41.00, Supervisor $48.00 and Manager $54.00 per hour.
The attached Law Enforcement Special Detail Application and Agreement have been reviewed by Legal as to form and correctness.
