Recommended Action
Approve and Authorize the City Manager, to Execute Term Contract Between the City of North Port and Ad-Vance Personnel Services, Inc., dba Advance Talent Solutions, Utilizing Temporary Staffing Agencies, Including but not Limited to, for Employment Services in an Amount not to Exceed Budgeted Funds.
Background Information
The City requires temporary staffing services to meet various departmental needs without hiring full-time employees for short-term projects and operational requirements. Each year, the Human Resources Department contacts all departments to determine their anticipated temporary staffing needs for the upcoming fiscal year. The Human Resources Department prepares an annual blanket approval based on those needs for the City Manager's approval. Ad-Vance Talent Solutions has requested the City execute their own Contract to utilize Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners solicitation RFP 242574CG for temporary staffing services.
The proposed Contract will run concurrent with the Sarasota County Contract, including an initial term of three years commencing December 9, 2024, with options for up to two additional one-year renewal periods subject to a mutual written Agreement between both parties. Current departmental encumbrances total $145,690.80 as of May 22, 2025.
