Background Information

 

The Economic Development Division is proud to present the second installment of the City of North Port GEM Award Business Recognition Program, honoring outstanding local enterprises that contribute to our community’s economic strength and identity.

 

This quarter, we proudly recognize King Plastic Corporation, one of North Port’s largest employers and a leader in advanced polymer manufacturing. Founded in 1968 and headquartered in North Port, King Plastic produces high-quality polymer sheets and custom shapes that serve marine, industrial, healthcare, signage, and architectural markets worldwide.

 

The company’s operations support high-quality manufacturing careers and contribute significantly to the City’s economic base. Their nationally recognized King StarBoard® product line has become a trusted standard across multiple industries.

 

King Plastic’s continued growth reflects both innovation and long-term investment in North Port. We are proud to honor King Plastic Corporation as this quarter’s GEM Award recipient and thank them for their ongoing commitment to our community.
